Achieve the required power from your cable box, DVD player, gaming console or other HDMI source device for applications involving HDMI extensions, switches, splitters or other HDMI devices that rely on the power from the HDMI output port of the source. When a device demands more current than the source device can supply, this will result in a voltage drop and subsequently a reduction in video quality. This USB Powered HDMI Voltage Inserter overcomes this problem by isolating the power from the source device and providing 5 volts and 1 amp of dedicated power to give a crisp, clean signal for high definition video up to a resolution of 1080p. Simply connect the voltage inserter directly to the source device through the HDMI port, connect the USB cable from the voltage inserter to an available USB port and a HDMI cable from the voltage inserter to other HDMI devices for a straightforward installation.
