Stay always online and prevent data loss As soon as the power fails, an APC Smart-UPS immediately supplies emergency power to all connected equipment. Because an APC UPS does this automatically, you prevent unwanted failure of, for example, a PC, server or switch. With the APC PowerChute Network Shutdown software, you can even have critical IT hardware shut down automatically and in a controlled manner when the battery of the UPS is almost empty. This prevents data loss, downtime and physical damage to hardware.
Lithium-Ion The APC SMTL3000RMI2UC uses a Li-Ion battery, which provides unique advantages:
- Longer lifespan. A Li-Ion battery can last up to 10 years and therefore makes the UPS truly maintenance-free. - Can handle more than 10x as many charging cycles as a lead-acid battery (VRLA). - Smaller and lighter. Li-Ion batteries are smaller and weigh approximately 65% less than VRLA batteries, which saves space and simplifies installation. - Better battery performance than VRLA at ambient temperatures above 25° C. With VRLA, this is at the expense of battery life (>5% decrease per degree increase). - 5-year factory warranty. Standard long warranty on the UPS including the battery. - Eliminate the costs of interim battery replacement; labor, material, shipping and recycling. - Lower TCO: The above advantages reduce the total costs over the entire life of the UPS by up to 47% (compared to a UPS with VRLA battery.) - Faster charging means full protection sooner. - Perfect for tight spaces, due to the limited depth of the UPS it fits easily in wall racks and small cabinets.
Safety In addition, a Smart-UPS protects connected devices against peak voltage, caused by lightning, among other things. This APC emergency power supply is ideally suited for (small) business use.
Battery life You can easily read the expected battery life in the runtime graph, which you can find between the product images. This way you can easily see how long the UPS will provide emergency power at a certain load.
Manage your Smart-UPS Thanks to the pre-installed network card (ap9641), you can easily connect the APC UPS to the network. This allows you to monitor and manage the UPS remotely (SNMP) and the UPS can send a shutdown signal to multiple physical and/or virtual servers using PowerChute Network Shutdown software.
PowerChute Network Shutdown PowerChute Network Shutdown is UPS management software that works together with the UPS Network Management Card to protect Windows, Linux and Host ESXi, as well as hyperconverged and virtual infrastructure*. In the event of a power failure, PowerChute can gracefully shut down your virtual machines and power them back up using a pre-configured boot sequence.

Remote management and monitoring of your network The network card can be managed remotely via the user-friendly web browser interface, remote management software EcoStruxure™ IT (SFTWES1-DIGI) or another SNMP-compatible system. Tip EcoStruxure™ IT also includes the functionality of the support contract below.
Support Contract The optional network card support contract license* ensures that you are always up-to-date and secure and includes additional benefits such as frequent updates with: • New and improved features • Security updates • Advanced support (The functionality of the support contract is included free of charge in the first year of the UPS)

SmartConnect Out-of-box remote UPS monitoring, free during a 6-month trial period. Using the SmartConnect Ethernet port, you can easily connect the Smart-UPS to your network and easily monitor it remotely via the secure APC SmartConnect cloud-based web portal*. In addition, the UPS can always be monitored via this port via EcoStruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI).

Ease of use The basic functionalities can be set and read using physical buttons and an LCD screen.
Extend the lifespan The internal battery cartridge (APCRBC174-LI) can be replaced easily, safely and independently by the user. This without having to switch off the APC UPS or connected equipment. This way you can easily and cheaply extend the lifespan of the APC Smart-UPS and your equipment always stays online.
Warranty Extension The factory warranty vthe SMTL3000RMI2UCNC is 5 years and can be extended with the APC service pack (WEXTWAR1YR-SPL-14) in steps of 1 year, up to a total maximum of 7 years.
Mounting The UPS is equipped with mounting brackets with which you can easily mount it to the 4 uprights in a 19 inch rack, wall or patch cabinet.
Switched Outlet Groups: Remote reboot and phased start-up Thanks to the Switched Outlet Groups it is possible to configure a phased/delayed power-on per UPS outlet group. This reduces the peak load on the UPS and brings it closer to the constant load, which can limit oversizing of the UPS.
It is also possible to reset a group of multiple UPS outlets and the equipment connected to them. If SmartConnect Advanced (ERWPLUS1-1Y-DIGI), a UPS with SmartConnect port + Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI) or a network card (ap9640) in combination with Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI) are used, this can even be done remotely.
This APC Smart-UPS is designed for IT professionals or network administrators to maintain business uptime and continuity. The 3000VA line interactive 2U rackmount UPS provides pure sine wave power to support critical electronics during power disruptions. It comes with IEC 320 C14 input, 8x IEC 320 C13 and 1x IEC 320 C19 outlets. It has a preinstalled Network Management Card for UPS network-based monitoring and management. It offers cloud-based remote power monitoring, UPS firmware upgrades, remote diagnostics and proactive email notifications with recommended actions. The UPS can connect to EcoStruxure IT or third-party centralized management platforms. It provides surge protection against lightning strikes, power sags, brownouts and surges. The SMTL UPS has a 5-year warranty on the UPS and Lithium-ion battery.
